Grammarly

Jan 14, 2024 | Productivity

Grammarly has used AI-like features to edit writing for years, however, a true, prompt-based AI feature (formerly called GrammarlyGO), released in April 2023, is a game-changer. Grammarly can now compose writing on top of its usual bag of tricks that help you rewrite sentences that conform to writing and grammar best practices.

Grammarly will even correct text generated by standalone AI systems, proving its usefulness no matter how you create content. The Mac version of the app watches any text you type in a text box, be it email, a text editor, or a WordPress blog post and proceeds to flag text with colored underlines, which, when clicked, displays a pop-up with suggested improvement(s).

While the software can see what’s on your screen when you activate the Grammarly AI module, Grammarly says the data is anonymized before it’s sent to its grammar-checking engine. Grammarly is a must-use tool for any creator who publishes content.

Pricing: Free (100 prompts/mo.); $30/mo. or $144/yr. (1,000 prompts/mo.)
