Otter, the uber-popular automatic transcription tool, has been made even better. Otter is launching a new AI function that allows groups to query the chatbot regarding previous meeting proceedings. It uses data from all group members’ meetings to respond to questions such as “What did we decide on yesterday?”
“AI Chat in Channels” is the name of the functionality, which essentially makes Otter’s AI chats more communal rather than exclusive to one person. Otter platform channels work like Slack chats. They allow users to communicate with regular collaborators and exchange transcripts.
Otter has been adding generative AI features over the past few years, launching a chatbot last year that allowed the bot to “attend” meetings for people. In 2022, it added meeting summaries to transcripts. All these features will solidify Otter’s position as the best platform for meeting transcriptions.
