SoCreate‘s image uploader lets screenwriters incorporate visual elements like characters and settings into their scripts. The platform’s “Storyteller” feature allows writers to share their scripts in a public library, similar to Wattpad, providing a way for aspiring screenwriters to build portfolios without needing Hollywood connections. However, users can opt to keep their work private, with the platform employing encryption and a strict anti-plagiarism policy.
Couto believes publishing scripts online protects against plagiarism by creating a timestamped public record. Future plans for SoCreate include adding AI-generated character voices, sound effects, and background music, further enriching the storytelling experience.
